Corrections

Evaluations are built from dated observations: prices, certificates, policies, and community discussion as they stood on the day an article states. Suppliers change their sites. Labs issue new certificates. Sometimes we simply get something wrong. This page says what happens then.

The policy

Reporting an error

Every article carries a Report control at its foot: a short form for saying what is wrong, with a box for the sentence concerned and an option to ask that the article be taken down. Reports reach the site's administrators, who can correct the article or remove it. Nothing comes down on its own. A form that deleted coverage on request would be a tool for any company that dislikes what a page says about it, so removal stays a decision a person makes.

Supplier records carry no Report control of their own yet. A correction to a record, including one from the supplier it names, goes through Submit intel, which reaches the same intake queue the administrators read. It is handled under the policy above: the primary page is re-checked and the record follows the evidence.

This publication is pre-launch, and its dedicated corrections contact has not been set up yet. That address will be published on this page at launch, before the site becomes reachable from search. Until then, corrections found by the administrators are applied under the policy above.
